Stereotypical Struggles faced by us as our name doesn’t sound Indian

Most people have this mentality if the brand name sounds International, it’s a foreign brand. For example, Peter England and Louis Philippe are the Indian Brands, but these brands are misconceptualized as foreign brands. Our Indian e-commerce portal Hokosoko is also facing the same problem, as the word Hoko gives the impression of a Japanese brand. This stereotype is absolutely wrong as Hokosoko is an emerging Indian E-commerce marketplace that sells ‘Make in India’ products and supports ‘Swadeshi Businesses’. Our objective of choosing the name Hokosoko was that the term sounds catchy and can be easily remembered by everyone.

Based on the current situation, when people are boycotting Chinese goods and supporting ‘Make in India’ products, we are also becoming the victim of their rage. So, people need to shed their stereotype and change their mindset. Even our Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji has said ‘Soch Badlo Desh Badlega’ which means our country can only grow when people will leave their stereotypical mindset and start thinking differently.
